Short summary
We developed a new satellite-based method to measure upper atmospheric ozone (which shields Earth from harmful solar radiation), providing an independent check of existing space-based ozone measurements. Comparing our results with satellite and weather balloon data showed good middle stratosphere agreement but larger tropical low-altitude differences, aiding ozone distribution understanding, long-term monitoring, and ozone layer recovery/climate change tracking.
